About this program
The Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI) delivers federal funding in British Columbia to help small and medium-sized businesses affected by trade disruptions and tariffs boost productivity, diversify export markets, optimize supply chains, and reach new markets. For-profit businesses (10–499 FTE employees) may receive $200,000–$10M in repayable contributions or $200,000–$1M in non-repayable contributions per project; not-for-profit organizations that support SMEs may receive up to $10M in non-repayable contributions for non-commercial projects. The program is part of a broader $1B+ national investment that includes targeted streams for the forest sector, food sector, and businesses affected by steel, aluminum, and copper tariffs.
