About this program

The WildFireSat Remote Sensing Capacity (WFS-RSC) program provides up to 75% funding of approved project costs to help Canadian wildland fire agencies and emergency management organizations build capacity to use WildFireSat Earth observation satellite data products. A total of $6 million over three years (starting fiscal year 2026–2027) is allocated to support education, expertise development, information management technology alignment, and organizational capacity building. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed regularly throughout the year.
