About this program

The Canada Council for the Arts awards grants to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons who are recognized as professional artists by their peers. Grants support creating, producing and presenting works, professional development, residencies, travel, and sector development, as well as operating costs for arts organizations. In 2024–25, $284.4M was awarded to 5,305 artists, groups, and organizations.
