About this program

The Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI) is a national program delivered by Canada's regional development agencies, providing funding to help Canadian businesses and not-for-profit organizations respond to global trade pressures (including US tariffs). Eligible southern Ontario businesses (5–499 FTE employees) can request $125,000–$10M in repayable funding or $125,000–$1M non-repayable; not-for-profit organizations focused on supporting SMEs can request $125,000–$10M non-repayable. The program aims to boost productivity, lower costs, strengthen supply chains, and open new markets.
