About this program

The Regional Defence Investment Initiative (RDII), delivered by FedNor, supports SMEs and not-for-profit organizations in Northern Ontario to integrate into defence supply chains and enhance industrial and innovation capacity. Repayable contributions of up to 75% of eligible costs are available for businesses, non-repayable contributions of up to 90% for not-for-profit organizations delivering Regional Innovation Ecosystem projects, and up to 100% (repayable or non-repayable) for eligible Indigenous recipients. Eligible activities run from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2028.
