About this program
Propel is a student work placement program that provides wage subsidies of $7,000–$7,500 to tourism and hospitality employers who hire and mentor students. The program is powered by Tourism HR Canada and funded by the Government of Canada through Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), and has supported over 1,067 placements since launch in August 2021.
