About this program

The Economic Development Initiative (EDI) provides non-repayable contributions of up to $500,000 per year to incorporated Francophone or bilingual not-for-profit organizations in southern Ontario that serve Francophone communities in French. FedDev Ontario distributes $800,000 annually to support projects focused on economic diversification, business development, innovation, and strategic community economic planning. Applicants must contribute a minimum of 30% of eligible project costs, with FedDev Ontario covering up to 70%.
